![]() How to Fix the “Failed to Start Game (App Already Running)” Error in Steam This is mostly the case when the error keeps showing up after your second attempt at launching the game. It could also be running under a different user profile on your system.Īnother possible cause of the error is a launch glitch. The game might have failed to shut down properly after your last session. In most situations, the error is the result of a soft crash. Steam recognizes that the game is running in the program because it probably is. There is no any other problem on other Steam games. This is the question that troubles every gamer facing this problem. Gta v lauches without probem from social club. (because steam also installs social club and epic too- NOTE: Steam seems to be installing outdated social club) it seems like there are 2 different social clubs on the system but actually there is one. The problem started occuring after I purchased GTA V from Epic store. i installed social club alone from rockstars site but still nothing helps. I run the apps as admin, i reinstalled both Steam and RDR2, i verified game files, I tried both from STEAM BETA / Non BETA versions and they did not fix it. Sorry if this is a duplicate thread, tried to find one but couldn't. Anyone else have this issue and have you found any fixes? I have already restarted both steam and my computer and tried reinstalling the Rockstar launcher. Originally posted by Wolven™:Got through the privilege issues, but now when I launch the game and it opens the Rockstar launcher and then when I press play through steam, steam says it cant launch RDR2 app already running. ![]()
